Bitcoin’s price has reached nearly $30,000. An unthinkable value if you think that in January 2014 Bitcoin was worth less than 1000 dollars. But how are cryptocurrencies evolving? Which are, excluding Bitcoin, those with the highest market capitalization? In this new in-depth look at the evolution of the Top 15 Cryptocurrencies by Market Capitalization (2013/2020). The data are weekly. They go from the summer of 2013 to the last available data, December 27, 2020.

Top 15 Cryptocurrency by Market Capitalization (Excl. Bitcoin) – 2013/2020

As of December 27, 2020 the Top 15 Cryptocurrency by Market Capitalization sees in the lead, excluding Bitcoin, which has a capitalization of $488,213,268,382 is Etherum. In fact, ETH has a capitalization of $77,828,069.14. This is followed by Tether (USDT) with $20,729,387,121 and XRP with $12,851,124,973. Behind these top three we then find Bitocin Cash with $6,290,438,771 and Binance Coin $4,839,330,614.

If we go instead to the first date available in the video, in the lead there was always Bitcoin with $1,080,918,190 followed by Litecoin and Namecoin.

The highest single Crypto price was Bitcoin with less than $95. This was followed by Novacoin with $3.98 and BitBar with $3.79. Litecoin, second in capitalization, had a value of less than $3.
