The trend of Cryptocurrencies in the last week has tended to be positive. In fact, after losing value over the last few weeks, Bitcoin and the other Crypto are back on the rise. In the article we will go deeper into the trend of Crypto from 2013 to 2021. Compared to the previous article, the video below will start from an earlier period and end with data updated to March 14, 2021.
Top 15 Cryptocurrency by Market Capitalization – 2013/2021
Let’s start with a first question. What are the top 15 cryptos in the world by market capitalization as of March 14, 2021? In first place we find Bitcoin with a value of $1,106,226,132,525. Bitcoin has been in first place since as far back as June 2013. In second place instead is Ethereum with $213,370,626,930. These top two cryptos have a significantly higher market capitalization than the other cryptos. In fact, Binance Coin, Tether, Cardano and Polkadot which go from the third to the sixth position have a value ranging from 41 billion to 33 billion. More or less 1/5 and 17& of the value of Etherum (always as market capitalization). Among the top 15 Cryptos we also find XRP, which has a value above 20 billion. Following between 10 and 20 billion are Uniwsap, Litecoin, Chainlin and Bitcoin Cash. From 11th to 15th position there are instead USD Coin, Stellar, Wrapped Bitcoin and Dogecoin that closes the top 15 with a value of over 7 and a half billion.
In the last week, from March 7 to March 14, there has been a growth of a good part of Crypto. Bitcoin in fact grew by more than 50 billion exceeding $1,100,000,000. But also growing was ETH with an increase from 191 billion to 213. XRP dropped slightly from 21,190,040,146 to 20,073,643,655, but its value is still higher than the values of February 28. In general, as I said, a good part of the Cryptos have increased their market capitalization. Among them we find for example LItecoin with a +2 billion, and Polkadot with almost +2 billion.
Data updated to March 24, 2021
If in the above part of the article we saw which Cryptos had and have today a higher market capitalization, what are the top 30 Cryptos in terms of single price? Again, Bitcoin is at the top of the list. The value of a single Bitcoin is almost $65,000. In second place we find Wrapped Bitcoin with a similar value and in third place again Ethereum. ETH is both the second Crypto by Market Cap and the second crypto (excluding Wrapped) by single Crypto price. In fact, its value is $1.705. Among Cryptos with a value above $500 is Bitcoin Cash while between 200 and 500 are Kusama, Aave, Binance Coin, Monero and Bitcoin SV.
In the table above you can also sort Cyrpto by price and also market capitalization. The data is updated as of March 24, 2021 and we can see how in the last few days the value of most Cryptos, in terms of market capitalization, has dropped slightly. Bitcoin is still in the lead with a value above 1,000,000,000. Ethereum, on the other hand, has dropped below 200 billion.
To show the weight of Bitcoin in terms of price compared to other Cyrpto I made this chart. The figure is updated in this case to March 7, 2021.
Cryptos that have grown the most in the last 24 hours
After seeing the trend of Crypto market capitalization and price one last insight. Which Cryptos are growing the most in percentage terms in the last 24 hours? The answer can be seen in the chart below. In the last 24 hours, the Crypto that has grown the most is ANKR. With a growth of +37.81% this Crytpo ranks first. In second place we find Harmony with a +34.69 and in third place Curve DAO token with +29.70%. All the Cryptos in this chart have grown at least 10% in the last 24 hours (obviously this does not mean that whoever reads this article should invest in them). Still among these Cryptos, if we go to see the data on the last 7 days, we find that Harmony has grown by +143% or so and MVL by +112%. Among the Cryptos that have grown twice as much in terms of price is also THETA with +102.80%.
Again, the graph can be sorted by column. You can then see the top Crypto in the last 24 hours, the price, and the change of these Crypto in the last 7 days.
